Education Training Research Services (E.T.R.S.): Jail-Based Felon/Misdemeanor Domestic Violence (FMDV) (DVT)

The Education Training Research Services (E.T.R.S.) award-winning Domestic Violence Transitions Program is offered to felony domestic violence offenders’ the program involves intensive early intervention to correct cognitive behavior leading to family violence.  This program provides cognitive behavior tools for inmates to make choices of non-violent and non-assaultive behavior.  Following the jail based program a 12 week community based program is started, recommendations by the facilitator are made on an individual case by case basis.  In 2010, approximately 250 clients completed this program.
