A way to provide young and first time offenders with information about the law that would assist them in an overview of the court process they will experience while in the judicial system. A preventive law approach is also part of the curriculum providing inmates with knowledge of how to avoid bad choices. Inmates also learn how to legal matters that may arise once they transition back into the community. The most common legal resources used by offenders consist of lawyers, judges, law students, probation officers, and professional mediators.
