Welcome to SheriffConnect

Thanks to a coordinated effort between the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Wayne County Chief Executive Office, Wayne County Department of Technology and New World Systems (now Tyler Technologies New World Public Safety), we will soon implement new Jail Management System software.  JMS is designed to help facilitate jail operations and inmate management.  This new system will replace the current inmate management software that has been in place since 1999.  This project is the largest IT implementation in the County since we went live with the current system.  It offers interfaces and integrated technology that are impossible with our current system.  As the Sheriff's personnel becomes accustomed to the new software, this system will increase the efficiency of jail operations, reporting capabilities and reduce liability.  I know what you're thinking, how does this affect me? read more

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office teamed up with AAA and other law enforcement agencies for the statewide kick-off of TOW TO GO at Ford Field in Detroit, MI. Sheriff Benny N. Napoleon always recommends planning ahead when drinking alcohol. Your plans may incorporate a number of sensible options: consume alcohol responsibly, make arrangements to stay at or in walking distance of where you are celebrating, identify a designated driver, or call a friend, a cab, an Uber, or Lyft for a ride home. If you feel affected by the alcohol and none of your other plans have materialized, take advantage of TOW TO GO, a service sponsored by AAA that helps prevents impaired drivers from getting behind the wheel and risking their lives and the lives of others. It provides free towing services to AAA members and non-members during designated holidays. The AAA tow truck transports the vehicle and driver home or somewhere safe within 10 miles. Call Toll-Free 855.2.TOW.2.GO or 855.286.9246. Make this your best holiday season. It starts with being responsible.
